About

Every couple has a story
about how they met.

This app is about the other story — the one neither of you knew you were writing.

You already know the day it finally happened. What you don't know is how many times it nearly did.

The idea behind Have We Met? is simple to say and strange to feel: for years before two people meet, their lives often run closer than either ever suspects. The same city on the same weekend. The same festival, two hours apart. The same block, the same afternoon, walking opposite directions. None of it left a trace — except that both of you were taking photos, and photos remember where and when they were taken.

Put two photo libraries' worth of where and when side by side and the invisible part of your story appears: the near-misses, the shared places, the closest single moment your two lives brushed past each other. Some pairs discover they orbited each other for a decade. Others find one impossible afternoon. Every pair finds something — even lives lived far apart have a closest approach.

We built the app to treat that discovery with the seriousness it deserves. No confetti, no gamification, no feed. A quiet, warm, evening-colored place where two people sit together — usually on a couch, usually passing a phone back and forth — and watch their timelines touch.

And because the raw material is personal, the rules are strict: photos never leave your phone unless you deliberately reveal them, matching runs on metadata alone, and there is no one in your session but the person you invited. The full detail lives in our Privacy Policy and Trust & Safety pages, and we mean every line of both.

Have We Met? is a small, independent product, built slowly and carefully. If it gives you and someone you love a new chapter of your story — the one before page one — it's done its job.
